iPhone Developer

We’re looking for a skilled iPhone Developer that’s ready to influence the way people experience digital on their iPhone - someone who isn’t afraid to push the boundaries of the platform, and loves developing with the end user in mind. But skills can only take you so far here; you’ll need to have a certain intangible spark about you that radiates an unmistakable energy, making working with you both fun and productive.

We want someone who is insatiably curious and constantly learning and experimenting with new technologies. An individual versed in the iPhone SDK and the App Store submission process who also loves coming up with ideas. Someone with the imagination and desire to rapid prototype new ways to use the platform as well as build thorough to fruition, flawless functioning apps. A day in the life of the iPhone Developer:

  • Creation: You should have a thing for creating. After all, your number one objective will be to develop a clean codebase of Cocoa‐driven iPhone Apps that utilize both native UI Components and custom Open GL. Curiosity is encouraged here, and learning is a must. Read up on latest technologies and Best Practices and recommend where and how to implement them.
  • Collaboration: You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Designers and other Developers to come up with innovative techniques to bring concepts to life. Lend technical knowledge to solve usability issues that influence design and concepts. Create and review wireframes for iPhone Apps ensuring they follow iPhone guidelines and have intuitive user patterns and technical specifications while maintaining a high level of creativity and performance.
  • Organization: Knowledge of the Apple App Store process and guidelines are crucial. You’ll need to keep everyone informed and coordinate submissions with realistic and organized timelines. You’ll also translate ideas, paragraphs, bullet points and whiteboard doodles into rich, interactive experiences that are as beautiful as they are intuitive.

Skills:

  • Experience working on small to medium-sized teams
  • iPhone SDK
  • Objective-C and Cocoa
  • 3rd Party API Integration (Flickr, Twitter, Facebook Connect, Google Maps, etc.)
  • Knowledge and awareness of iPhone OS specifics and capabilities
  • Knowledge of iPhone-specific testing and debugging across all versions (3, 3GS, 4) 
  • Self-motivated and able to work well under tight deadlines
  • Agency experience a plus
  • Bonus Skills:
    • Open GL
    • Flash AS3
    • Back-End programming (.NET, JSP, PHP or Ruby)
    • The ability to develop Mobile apps for Android, Blackberry and the Mobile Web
