PHP Developer

We’re seeking a motivated PHP Developer to help push designs by developing cutting-edge Digital applications; someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, and is an effective communicator. We need a real go-getter who knows how to maintain composure when under pressure to meet deadlines and deliverables.

A day in the life of the PHP Developer:

  • Creation: You should have a thing for creating. You’ll develop Content Management Systems, SQL jobs, create stored procedures, functions, views and table structures and create applications.
  • Collaboration: You should have knowledge of the latest tools available and provide recommendations for the smartest way to develop a project. Whether it is leveraging an existing platform or developing a custom plug-in, your vast knowledge of the space, platform, and language should provide for the most efficient build plans.
  • Organization: Write organized and well-structured architecture, back-end and technical documentation as necessary to substantiate build, ensure conformance to architectural guidelines and development standards. Provide documentation to support what you’ve developed and always develop with change and scalability in mind. Translate ideas, paragraphs, bullet points and whiteboard doodles into rich, interactive experiences that are as beautiful as they are intuitive.

Skills:

  • Expert knowledge in PHP and object-oriented development
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL (MS SQL, MySQL), Stored Procedures / SQL Views, SQL jobs, AJAX, XML, JavaScript, database architecture and design
  • HTML/XHTML, and Web standards and cross-browser/platform delivery a plus
  • Experience with Drupal (application, themes, plugins), WordPress (application, themes, plugins), CodeIgniter, CakePHP, Facebook, and/or other available 3rd party platforms
  • Experience with consuming and writing REST based services/API’s
  • Knowledge of server set up, web application installation/maintenance a plus
  • Ability to understand additional disciplines such as ActionScript, Mobile deployment, third party API’s, etc…
  • Ability to develop reusable components to build a library of licensable back-end tools
  • Create proprietary and infrastructure-centric tools to utilize technology to increase agency efficiency and profitability
