Although most of the time my pieces come from some random visual that pops up in my head, this wallpaper was the result of some free time I had to experiment with Illustrator. Playing with the blend tool and ultimately adding various color-changes and strokes I found myself creating some very interesting worm-like vectors. Once I got the depth and color of the main “squiggle” down, I continued to add more until I was satisfied with the variety between them.
After making my squiggles, I sporadically grouped them together to create visual balance, moving the viewer’s eye from one side of the page to the other.
